Compassion Sunday 2019 (5.19.19) (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)Ethan Kerns, May 19, 2019
Part of the Compassion Sunday series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
As Christians, we are able to recognize that God gives us mercy and comfort on a daily basis. But do we squander his gifts by not sharing them with others? According to the Apostle Paul, one of the primary points of receiving gifts like mercy and comfort is to then give it to others. We as Christians must be willing to do this.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5
3Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. (KJV)
